A long bus ride and ferry to get there, we finally made it! One of our final destinations on the trip is an island off the coast of Thailand called Koh Chang. Finding out the hard way after arriving late, we had to argue with a few hotel managers in order to get what we wanted. In the end we decided to hop in a taxi and travel to a place called lonely beach. The feel of this place was more our style and vibe. Meeting a very helpful guy named Mu, he showed us the ins and outs of the beach and got us a discounted day trip. Settling into our beach front bungalow, we took the day to relax and enjoy some good old beach time. The following day we went on a snorkeling/fishing trip to three smaller islands. Fishing for our lunch, Jeff was determined to supply the ship…he failed. Finding humour in his frustration, I took the honour to do the catching, eight to be exact! The lunch was good and the crew even let me gut the biggest one. Ending the day on monkey island, tossing fruit scraps to some very hungry monkey's, we set course back to Koh Chang to mend our sunburns and wash away any fishing disappointment with a couple of beers. Being in the final leg of our journey, we spend Christmas together reminiscing about what has been accomplished on this trip and talk future plans for our next endeavors.
