Leaving Bangkok we headed north to Chiang Mai. Upon our arrival we found our free hotel, thanks to Jeff's bargaining skills, we then began to walk through the city to see the sites. Eating pad Thai for lunch and enjoying traditional Thai massages, we continue to live like kings. We caught wind of a Muay Thai fight night and did not hesitate to go and watch. Placing bets on each fight and coming out on top, Jeff decides he wants in…not in the fun of the gambling, but in the ring! With honor, grace and poise Jeff did fairly well but the victory was given to the local fighter. The next morning we all signed up for a Thai style cooking class. Learning to make several different dishes and filled ourselves up until we couldn't eat another thing. Tomorrow we begin our three day slow boat to Laos, for some relaxation and recuperation.
