Today we didn't really have a plan so after a bit of a sleep-in we decided to go to the tourist info centre and get some ideas. We figured it would be best to stay put atleast another night and get out on Lake Titicaca the following day. We spent all morning wondering around trying to find a hostel and eventually found a really nice place called Boothy Hostel. The hostel had all the amenities you could imagine and a really good kitchen so we headed straight for the market to buy some things to cook for lunch. It was so nice to get some warm food in my belly and I started to feel better almost instantly, after so many cold nights, long bus rides and rough food Puno is exactly what we needed. The hostel is full of backpackers with incredibly interesting stories and I spent most of the day mingle and getting new travel ideas. In the afternoon Cris, our new Taiwanese friend and I went for a walk around the city and brought some beanies to keep our heads warm. In the evening I cooked Cris my famous Aussie Omelettes with the inclusion of some Peruvian Sausage. To wash it down we went for a really nice Peruvian red wine - amazingly yes the wines here are very good. The rest of the evening we chatted away with fellow bsckpackers about life and the state of the planet.
