Finally - a goodnights sleep, exactly what the Dr ordered. I had a lazy start to the day followed by a wonder around Limas main square and food market. Tonight Abi and I were having a cook-up; I was cooking ratatouille and Abi - Lomo Saltado. We brought some fresh vegetables, meats etc and then wondered through China town. Although I managed to get some sleep it was intermittent and from 2:30am onwards I was woken up every 10 minutes or so - to go with that the bus driver was terrible and every now and again he would hit a pothole at full pace or slam the brakes on really hard causing everyone to wake in sudden fright. At around 9:00am and after 16 hours on the bus we arrived into Lima - the landscape is all sand-dunes and desert clashing with the ocean - reminds me a lot of Morocc...

At around 2am we arrived at the boarder of Ecuador and luckily because of the time there was nobody else there - I got my exit stamp and amazingly got my entry stamp into Peru at the same desk (we were told the two boarders were miles apart??). Within 20 minutes everyone on the bus was cleared but unfortunately customs was going through the luggage under the bus, we boarded the bus but waited another hour before we could depart.
