Today was my last day in Tallinn before heading back to Latvia and on to Lithuania. My CS Hosts Henry & Lotte were off to pick up their new kitten this morning so I joined them as I absolutely love kittens. Today I had a nice big sleep in and didn't head for the city until after 11am! First thing I did was head to the big markets and wow picked up some banana chips, pawpaw pieces and about 3 different kinds of dates all super cheap :) Like Latvia there were loads of different meats, cheeses, breads, vegetables, fruits, pastries and other various bits and pieces. So it was time to say goodbye to Riga and my friends Inese & Jolanta. Although the visit was short it was still more then enough time to taste some local cuisine, partake in some festivities, roadtrip across the whole country to the seaside and get a taste of how the Latvian culture differs from mine. Sightseeing Riga Today I slept in a bit before battling the Latvian freezing temps. First up I walked to the Riga markets which just so happen to be the biggest in Europe. So today everyone had decided to take the day off and Jolanta managed to borrow a car so it was roadtrip time 250km to the Latvian coast and to a town called Liepaja.
