Today I had a nice big sleep in and didn't head for the city until after 11am!
First thing I did was head to the big markets and wow picked up some banana chips, pawpaw pieces and about 3 different kinds of dates all super cheap :)
Like Latvia there were loads of different meats, cheeses, breads, vegetables, fruits, pastries and other various bits and pieces.
Next thing I made my way for the old city - unfortunately I got lost and never found it but I did get in contact with a Couchsurfing friend called Alex and went around to visit her. We had a great afternoon laughing and sharing stories and watching An Idiot Abroad.
I made my way back to Lottes & Henrys and sat chatting with them for most of the evening!
Friday I slept in quite a bit and was hoping to make the Tallinn free walking tour that starts at 12pm everyday but unfortunately just missed it - anyways I walked around the old city lost for most of the day and eventually found the Balti Jaam Markets.
The markets were great and I picked up some more dried fruits - pawpaw, some cinnamon tea and some turkey pieces for dinner.
It started to get very cold at about 4:30pm so I headed back to Henry and Lottes.
Lotte was away at university so I cooked a turkey and veg stir fry for myself and Henry. We then sat down and watched the new film: Promethius (Prequal to Alien) it was so good to watch a film it's been ages and my biggest regret from selling laptop.
Saturday I once again sleapt in but managed to make it to the Free Walking Tour- the tour was interesting, the guide was a bit crazy and spent the whole time ripping on her fellow Estonian People, a very dry and Ironic sense of humor. I did learn a lot about Estonia and it's history and a lot of little interesting facts. I always like to do the free walking tours - one because they are free and two the guides are usually very good because they work off tips.
Tallinn is a beautiful castled city snd has a very unique gothic/robin hood feel to it - if it wasn't for the freezing temps I could easily call this place home!
