I actually managed a nice sleep-in today as lastnight it was around 2am before I went to bed and as I was so cold it took another hour to get my body warm enough to sleep. Today I had promised to cook lunch to say Thankyou to my hosts, I had brought all the things yesterday and would be making an Indian soy mince curryband vegetable ratatouille alongside polenta and guacamole. I cooked for a few hours and everything turned out perfectly and just as Aymeric and Alamendra were awaking lunch was ready - we sat around enjoying the food and talking about how good the party was lastnight. I received an email from a friend who I had also been introduced to through a mutual couchsurfing friend regarding a summer camp for Chilean kids where they were in need of extra volunteer teachers. Harry had told me about it a week before as he works for the company and had told me that unfortunately applications had closed 2 weeks ago, anyways he had received an email saying they were in need of more Teachers as they didn't have enough. Anyways I contacted the email he gave me and tonight will fill out the paperwork in the hope they may except me; fingers crossed. In the afternoon I went to the bus terminal and booked my tickets back from Rancagua for after Christmas and tried to figure out when and if I will still go to Mendoza: if by some miracle I get the volunteer teaching job I will need to be back to Santiago by the 4th of January. I then headed to the beachfront to have my first look at the Chilean coast and wow what an amazing beachfront - reminds me of California and Venice Beach and another thing the women here are incredibly beautiful. I sat a while and enjoyed all the sites and smells of the beachfront - I really like this place and now am thinking maybe I should spend New Year's Eve here as it is renouned as being the biggest and best fireworks show over the water in the world. Just before it got dark I walked back to Aymerics and Almendras and made some dinner. I had to fill out an online application form for the voluntary teaching position which took most of the night so hopefully I hear back from them re my application by sometime tomorrow.
