Winter has finally arrived. Upon drawing my curtain blinds in the morning, I woke up to find snow falling outside. No matter how many times I have experienced snow in my life, I never tire of seeing it snow. Everything seems so peaceful, so serene and so beautiful when it snows. It is as if time stands still for just that period of time. That is of course before everything becomes slush and dirty and slippery. Doreen and I were walking on the boardwalk and we saw a few people slip because it was just too slippery. Thank God we didn't! While on our very slow and careful trip on the boardwalk, we saw some men bringing out canvass cloth and cloth mesh to put over the boardwalk. Very quick thinking and extremely efficient! Somehow we managed to reach church only 10 minutes late and that was really good considering the weather and road conditions. Apparently it is only -4 degrees outside tonight and tomorrow's maximum temperature is only 8 degrees. Not a great day tomorrow. I had better wrap up warm lest I fall sick. At least the heaters in our rooms are now switched on. So I can sleep comfortably tonight. More cold winter days to come! At least another three months. Such happy days.
