It has indeed been a tiring week for me! Praise God that He has sustained me all through this week though. I went for my cell group or rather small group meeting here at BNU this evening. Although the group is rather small, I am nonetheless grateful for the opportunity to share in fellowship with fellow Christians. The small group will be held at Danilo's room at No. 1 Student Dormitory on Wednesdays, 6.30-8.00pm. The format of the meeting is slightly different from the cell group meetings at CGMC. I suggested that we could have ice-breakers as that would certainly be a fun element and help each of us interact better with one another. We started the meeting with an introduction of ourselves and how we came to know the Lord. It was encouraging to hear the heartfelt testimonies of all. Then, we gave our individual views as to how the small group could be improved. Thus, I suggested the ice-breaker. All of them were receptive to the idea. So, I guess I will have to start the ball rolling by doing the ice-breaker next week. We will be focusing on a particular set of materials provided by BICF, which is called the "40 Days of Love". I suppose we will be starting this as soon as we receive the book and CD from BICF. Loice is our small group leader and is studying her Masters at BNU. Interestingly enough she is married and has four children. Imagine the commitment needed to leave family and friends back home! Then, there is Danilo from Mozambique who is studying Economics, Graciano who also hails from Mozambique, who is studying his Masters and Orlando from Peru, who is studying a Masters in Communication. We are indeed a diverse group of individuals. Now, whoever imagined that only Chinese universities were populated by the Chinese themselves will be pleasantly surprised. We ended the meeting with a simple tea provided by our dear Loice. I am certain that I shall be blessed by this small group. As for now I bid you good night. 晚安.
