With so many things to see in Coimbra, what do we do? Go see Barbies of course. Well this is Julie's trip after all. But we actually had a blast. It was all miniatures of different places to live in Portugal, with little houses and castles Kids could run around in. There was also a creepy section where they tried to convince the kids that Portugal's conquest of the two-thirds world was all about bringing the weld together. Hmmmmmm.....
But really the best parts today were the food, of course, from sweet bread made up into soft individual rolls for breakfast to the WHOLE PLATE OF OLIVES our server brought us at lunch because I got so excited about the three little olives on top of my rice, to to the heavenly homemade sausage at dinner (not to mention the to-die for shrimp and prawn stew xAndy and I had last night, I am in Portagee heaven!
We will really try to see something culturally rewarding tomorrow but I am making no promises.
