Woke up to a bright an sunny morning by the beach. The longer I stay here, the more I understand why this place gets voted twice for the happiest place on earth. You pretty much don't get angry at anything over here and don't worry about anything.
Today I headed to a small island off Port Vila called Iririki Island. The whole island is a resort/hotel, so the minute you step onto the island it's feels like a real tropical resort. But the only thing I dont like bout it is the amount of Aussies there. Granted the resort I am staying at has the same amount of Aussies but at least I am 5mins walk away from the local villagers at Pango and there are more locals about.
Snorkelling there was pretty average at Iririki, all the corals have bleached and were pretty sparse. Having said this, there were still a few key highlights in the water. Saw a pair of butterflies, family of convicts around an acro- the babies were only 1cm big!; saw two families of clowns one pair was the red ones and their baby and the other family was a black clown with a few babies again 1cm big, I wanted to take them home! They were living in this big anemone which housed both families, cutest thing ever! There were also huge parrotfish about 50cm big, the Asian in me came out and I wanted to eat them. There was also a mammoth of a sea cucumber which was about 60cm long and 10cm in diameter. They're the ugliest things, literally looks like someone took a huge dump in the ocean. Gross.
Merry christmas everyone!!! Tis the season to be jolly, falalalala-lala-lala!
