We had a very entertaining night last night at the Daly Waters Pub. A delicious barramundi and steak dinner plus the aforementioned entertainer, Chilli turned out to be a cracker. Another pleasant drive along the Carpentaria Highway down to Daly Waters, where we have stopped at the famous Daly Waters Pub. Parked alongside Richard and Barb and Sienna again. Day 15. Left Cape Crawford for a day trip to Bing Bong Loadout Facility for the McArthur River Mine on the Gulf. Walked down onto the tidal flats on the Gulf and took in the beautiful water on the Gulf. Had to keep a lookout for crocodiles! Weather again sublime. Had a look at Mule Creek where the river goes into the Gulf. Then drove to King Ash Bay on the Mcarthur River. Loads of fisher persons ensconced there. Then on to Borroloola.

Day 14 Lovely cool night. Today is chores and relax day. No driving. Still at Cape Crawford. Chores accomplished, had a swim and poke about the place. We had barramundi at the hotel for dinner with Barbara and Richard. While the beer is pricey, we had Oyster Bay wine for $3.50 a glass which is half the price of same in Canberra and Darwin!

Day 13 Left Barkly Homestead around 9 for the run up the Tablelands 'H'way' , a mostly one lane road, but sealed and a good surface. We were lucky when we met 3 road trains together that we were at a floodway which gave us room to move off the road. Apart from that, we dodged a few cows, and grey nomads and arrived at our destination in good order.
