Another pleasant drive along the Carpentaria Highway down to Daly Waters, where we have stopped at the famous Daly Waters Pub. Parked alongside Richard and Barb and Sienna again. Sienna was pleased to see Elle. Elle was more aloof, as is her wont. Tonight we sample the barramundi and steak at the pub. It is a humorous place and very cosmopolitan. The bar staff are French, Italian and Irish. There are yanks and French backpackers. And a bemused Japanese man trying to pay for his fuel. Apparently you fill up and then wander over to the pub and tell them the cost. If you bolt, there could be cameras and I have visions of hot pursuits down the dirt road out of the town . Anyway, Barb helped him get the numbers but he was stumped when asked about petrol or diesel? I think he paid as he was last seen looking for the toilet which might have startled him, as you can see from the picture. This place is packed! There is a singer tonight called Chilli. Should be a fun night!

June Thoroughly enjoying your story and photos of your exploring the outback. Every picture tells it like it is. Richard Barbara and Sienna seem to be your travelling companions. Elle is quire prudent to be a little aloof. Cheers.
