hello! it's been a while and much has happened. i tried to write a blog the other day but i was interrupted by nearly burning down the house im staying it. it has recently become apparent that any child brought up to use an Aga should NEVER be let loose on a gas oven, in this particular situation i accidentally flipped a pan of sausages into the burning gas at the back of the oven which promptly exploded and as argentina doesn't seem to have any form of oven gloves this was a bit of a problem. anyway, the house an oven is fine and hermione and i escaped with minimal burns haha, as a result though, i lost my lst blog entry.

so, since that episode, what has happened.. a friend of our host woman took us water skiing on a nearby lake which was so much fun and i managed to stand up. however i gave up because i kept smashing myself into the water and after a while it became quite painful. even so it was really fun and it was amazing to get out of the city.

we also went horse riding with the goucho's int he mountains. it was meant to be a 'starlight' horse ride but unfortunately there was thick black cloud so it was impossible to see anything. we managed to escape a huge storm but we could see one over the cityof mendoza. it was incredible being in the mountains watching lightening across the valley with all different colours. unfortunately i didnt manage to take a photo of the lightening, it turns out that is quite hard to do. it was an amazing eveing though, i may try horse riding in the llight next time though as galloping through giant boulders at idnight is a bit scary.

we still haven't started working, i think we will start at the beginning of march. the most exciting thing that happened in the past few days is that i bought a mate cup (in pursuitof my dream to become a goucho). anyway, said mate cup leaked and spilled green goo all over myhost ladies table cloth, sont thik she's too happy with me. must dash my battery is baout to die. we had a big pancake day party as well, the argentines couldnt get used to lemon and sugar buti hope we converted them. ciao chicos xxx
