Day 5 in Palau

Rachel made whole grain banana pancakes for breakfast which were very good.

We had a day full of rain, so I went over to Palau Fish 'n Dive to use their high speed internet to upload my photos and a video of Rachel and Shauna playing stand up paddle ball...I also downloaded the plug-ins I use for my blog (powered by WordPress) for Shauna.

Several times while I was there it was a torrential downpour, but it sounded so cool hitting the tin roof - I was sitting outside in the covered patio area. When I got hungry, I ordered a Greek salad and an ice tea. The salad was delicious and I even ate the tomatoes!! The cook/waiter apologized that they didn't have any cucumbers to put in the salad, and I told him, "no problem".

When Rachel came by to pick me up she told me we needed to pick up a few things. It was raining pretty good...Rachel ran to get under cover of the store, I just casually walked in the rain...it felt good. One of the stores finally had Original SunChips in stock, so I bought 1 bag and Rachel got 2 bags plus a couple of other things. We quickly went to the car to drop off what we bought and then went across the street to pick up some bananas (the first place only had green ones). We both were pretty wet when we got into the second store. Luckily they had some ripe bananas so we could now head home.

Rachel cooked another tasty meal: rainbow rotini (pasta), broccoli florets, choice of homemade sauce or dried-tomato pesto (I put some of both on mine) and some toasted bread that she had made last night. After dinner Shauna made some chocolate coconut ice cream (cocoa powder and coconut milk plus some other ingredients)...WOW!!! Was it delicious...perfect consistency, nice and cold, and chocolatey :) if that's a word. While we ate we watched "The Da Vinci Code" on TV, they hadn't seen it yet.

I didn't take any pictures today :( I wish I would have had my camera with me at the Fish 'n Dive place, would have gotten lots of cool rain photos. Gonna read for about a half hour now then go to bed.
