After a bit of a lie in to catch up on our sleep we decided to head the restaurant we missed yesterday for lunch. It was INCREDIBLE! We watched Nic approach a table of Americans and begin eating their food before coming back to join us.
Central market was our next stop - literally a maze of stalls and some horrific smells! At least it wasn't as bad as our toilet in phnom penh...Josh made the others follow him around for an hour trying to buy one f***ing Ralph Lauren shirt which he didn't end up buying because it looked more like apron than a top. Time well spent and fun for all involved! It genuinley was he looked like an idiot!
We then went to a VERY CULTURAL and VERY COOL water puppet show! small vietnmaese men would crouh waist deep in a pool hidden by a bamboo wall and control hundreds of different puppets from under the water! Dragons breathing fire, men smoking opium on the boat, tigers running around climbing trees and snakes fighting were some of the scenes they acted out!
The prodigious restaurant we were supposed to eat at for dinner had disappeared lickety-split underground and while looking for it Nic was offered a voluptuous deal - buy a calamitous fake ipod shuffle for $175!! It's only 200% of the English price! In place of the superannuated recommended restaurant was a pretty incorruptable replacement where we each had doozie meals.
A couple of hours more of funfunfunfun we went to bed in preparation for an early morning the next day.
