ah just a quick update, couldnt resist as ive had a fabulous last day/night here in cairns!!!

so last night i met up with the girls alex, vicki and cat - planned on finding somewhere to eat then maybe on to a bar, just a chilled one as we were all suffering slightly from the night before lol. there was just the slightly annoying fact that the ocean had decided to dump itself on land, it was absolutely pouring!!! we looked like right idiots running from shelter to shelter, and i got nominated to run across to the other side of the road to check out other restaurants to see what they were like etc so i was drenched when we eventually found somewhere that wasn't too expensive. had a lovely meal, then headed back to their hostel where there was a bar... only we got sidetracked - my fault actually - a didgeredoo shop caught my eye and i just asked if we could pop in to have a look.... 30 seconds later we all had a didge in out hands and were having the funniest impromptue didgeredoo lesson!!!!! ahhhhh it was just soooooo much fun! and lasted ages! we tried many different ones, got taught a few rhythms and had a jam session all together which actually bought people in off the street lol! they were prob just wandering where the heck all the noise and laughter was coming from and maybe to get out of the rain but we liked to think it was because we sounded good..... lots of photos and even videos to come, promise!!!! so after that we were on a great giggly girlie high, and carried on, only to stop in various other shops laughing at everything, and slightly scaring one shop owner when we raided her havaiannas - converting cat who had never had a pair, and within 5 mins of walking outside in the pouring rain was singing their praises... aaaaaannnnyway...

today i went on a little trip called uncle brians rainforest and waterfalls tour - was such a cool day, lots of singing while on the bus called ralf, and the tour guide was cousin kai who liked to tell many stories. his crazy randomness actually reminded me a little of my slightly crazy boyfriend....

i am very proud to add that we went on a number of rainforest walks during the day, and i managed to keep my cool and not loose it at all, even when we walked past a golden orb spider which was the size of a plate i was told...i looked in the opposite direction, and probably cut off the circulation in the guides hand as he led me past while the others were having a look.... haha!so other than that we went to a bunch of waterfalls, one which we slid down front ways back ways sideways any which ways you could imagine, was loads of fun, if a little 'refreshing' as the guides liked to call it, and a fall called josaphine falls (yes vernon, josaphine is not my name...) which was very cool too. then we went to the waterfall miller miller, which is where peter andre shot the mysterious girl video, and where the timote ads were shot - que all of us standing in a line, flicking out hair back in attempted slow motion to get that perfect picture! haha was just such a giggle!!! we also went to a lake which was nice, and to try to see some platypuss' which sadly was unsuccessful, so we went to see this crazy tree thing instead. hmmmm didnt really make up for it! but all in all an awesome day and night!

right so i am very very tired and have to be ip super early again for a reef dive in the morning... adios!!!zxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
