ah annoyance, bus has been delayed by 8 hours so i have left the beautiul magnetic island 8 hours earlier than i needed to! so me and a couple of mates are now stuck in a little town called townsville for 8 hours, our bus is not going to arrive until 9pm tonight which means we will get to mission beach at about 1am... grr! anyway, it gives me a nice lot of time to write this, put up pics and maybe even some videos!

so magnetic island - the first two days i did almost nothing except sunbathe all day by the pool and go to the bar in the evening. i'm actually starting to think it is even more horribly humid here than it was in mexico. the only thing is there doesnt seem to be the storms to cool things down like there was there. no jokes, but literally you'll be outside, lying down for 5 mins, and you'll be dripping in sweat - not nice!so, i just had to be by the pool all day! then yesterday we had a great day - went for a little snorkel in the morning then rented a little pink topless car and went to explore a few other beaches, one with a stinger net so you could just swim. saw some amazing views as well. then in the afternoon we went to the koala sanctury!i finally saw some koalas!and i held one! they are so cute! but they're pretty dumb as their brains are not much bigger than a pea aparantly, their eyesight is pretty bad...but they are adorable! had a great little group of just 6 of us with a ranger, we also held a crocodile, that was cool, its all soft underneath and rock hard on the top, their eyes have this funny membrane over them too. also a carpet snake... the ranger got bitten by the snake as she tried to feed it - check the photos lol obv wasnt poisonous as it was a python, and she just brushed it off saying it didnt hurt and she'd been bitten loads of times, it happens when she's been handling the rats and the snakes think she is a rat....mad woman!then it was rainbow parrot feeding time - those birds were crazy!hundreds of them all around (wild ones) reminded me of trafalgar square when you used to be able to feed the pigeons, except these parrots are gorgous!

then after all that excitement we drove home via a few more beaches, where there was a party, we somehow won a few jugs of beer, and i saw a possum stealing someones chips...
