We arrived in Flora on Thursday evening after a few relaxing days in Rio. We arrived at the hostel which was on the pier. Lovely views but was cold compared to Rio. We had a few drinks at the bar an decided that we would have an early night.
The next morning all 4 of us got the bus into the main town and had a wander around. It felt very European there. We then had lunch which consisted of the best sandwich we had ever tasted.
On Saturday we decided to go Sand Boarding. Jonny got the stand up board and I was a wimp and opted for the sit down one. We then had to climb up the Sand Dunes and board down them. It was a lot of fun and Jonny was really good at it. I attempted the stand up board but fell over practically straight away. It was a fun morning and we are glad we tried it.
That afternoon we relaxed at the hostel and went on the beach for a bit.
Sunday, we all got up and had breakfast and then hired wet suits and snorkels from the hostel and walked to the Natural Pools to try a bit of snorkeling. The walk was about 30 minutes and along the way we saw some lovely views. When we eventually arrived at the pools we tested the water and were so glad we had the wet suits as it was freezing. We all got in and Jonny and Steven went snorkeling. They came back very disappointed as there was a serious lack of fish. Still we all enjoyed being in the clear sea and having a swim.
That evening the hostel arranged a BBQ which was delicious and we had a few drinks before going to bed.
Our last day in Flora was spent relaxing. Jonny and me went for a walk around the town and in the evening we decided to treat ourselves to a Thai meal as it was our last night before we move on the Iguassu.
Tuesday was our last day and had to be at coach station at 6pm for 16 hour bus to Iguassu. AHHHHH!!! Although we cant wait to see what awaits us there.
