October 6, 2012 - bye bye Hilton :(
To say that we will miss this resort is an understatement, but to make leaving easier, we've already been discussing coming back in the spring.
We were originally scheduled to fly home on Saturday, but one of our flights was cancelled (we found out well in advance) and none of the other flight schedules were toddler friendly (5-hr layover or arriving at 10:30pm), so we asked to fly home the next day and Dad arranged for a hotel near the airport for one night.
Check-out at Hilton was at 10, so we had to get moving pretty early. We headed to a mall to hang out, but after enjoying outlet prices all week, Ben and I were not willing to pay full price for anything...other than lunch :)
On our way to the hotel we hit up one of my favourite US stores - Kohl's. seriously love this store! Found a few bargains and I could have kept shopping, but 1. Mateo was starting to freak out, 2. No more room in our luggage and 3. No more money!!
We checked into the hotel with no issues and after relaxing for a while, we went out to enjoy our last Floridian supper at Chili's, then it was back to the hotel to enjoy free happy hour (other than the big buffet breakfast, this is the best thing about staying at Embassy Suites!) and then put Mati to bed and watch some HGTV until bedtime.
