Work went well today as I am becoming more familiar with the needs of our team. A lack of processes and procedures has kept the team at the mercy of which way the wind blows. Despite all the hurdles they have faced, they are very optimistic in our abiliity to make things better for them.

As we left work today, I was surprised to see two additional (brand new) generators being rolled in. These are not your typical Honda generators, but industrial generators the size of conversions vans. It was comforting to see the immediate expenditure and response yesterdays issue.

I decided to order the Filet American tonight. Even the French speaking executive with me thought it would be a normal steak. Now, this is the second attempt of mine to order a steak. The first time I ended up with a delicious large slab of a fish out of the Congo River. This time, I was not as fortunate. The plate came out with a mound of french fries and what looked like uncooked meatloaf. Indead, it was basically uncooked meatloaf without the breading. I had ordered chopped and flavored raw steak. I wouldn't mind trying raw steak at some point, but would favor not to do it in Africa.
