Had a good nights sleep last night. Only woke up briefly when the 2 Swedish girls came in at 3:30am. I wake up at about 7:30. It's another beautiful day here. After breakfast I head straight to the beach on my own. But no sooner had I parked my pale sphincter on the hot white sand, I had a call from Sammie saying we had to get our bags out of the room. So I go back to the hostel and move the bags into the bar area where there are hundreds of other bags. It would seem everybody is leaving this hostel today. Found out that because of the floods, 'Nomads' hostel upped the prices from $27 to $33 per night because they knew people would be stuck there. It's terrible. I'm so glad we blagged 2 nights free there. I decide to stay around the pool of the hostel for a few hours then. Sunbathing and swimming in the pool. It's nice and relaxing. After a while we go for a walk into Noosa and I get me a Boost Juice. That's my healthy intake for the day. We then go down to the beach where I go for a swim in the sea. The sea is so warm. It's warmer than the swimming pool at the hostel. When us get back to the hostel I have a last dip in the swimming pool, take a shower then it's pretty much time for our mega bus journey to Airlie Beach. The bus is full. The driver does not have any DVDs either. At about 6pm as the sun is setting the colours in the sky are amazing. It's hard to take photos but I get a few. Green, blue, yellow, orange, purple, red, it's all up there and it's beautiful to look at. Then only a couple of hours into the journey the driver realises his tail lights aren't working. We have to stop at a service station in some place called Kybong. We stay there for a good hour or so until the problem is solved. Me and a lad from Kent go exploring in some nearby trees and undergrowth for living creatures. And Australia throws some weird ones at us. Literally. Firstly there's a load of noisy parrots in the trees. We try and spot them but it's too dark to see them. The biggest bat I've ever seen flys within inches of our heads. It's wing span was bigger than me! We see 3 giant toads or king toads whatever they are called. They are massive. Then I hear something big drop out of the tree and next to me. As I realise it's a big ass mutant beetle, one drops on my head. I freak out a bit then do battle with it and flick it out into the open so we can have a look. It's huge. It has massive pincers too. I hit it about 30 times with my empty water bottle but it's only stunned it slightly. It's a tough little b******! Only then do we realise that everybody is on the bus and waiting for us. The driver found us because he heard our screams. The driver informs is that we are playing with an 'Elephant Beetle'. We finally continue the journey. It's hard to sleep on the bus, so I take a nytol. It helps and I finally nod off.
