Another caking hot day today. As we are waiting for the bus a mackem comes up and chats with me as I'm wearing a Newcastle vest. It's not a particularly friendly chat. We had a tour bus take us to some weird hippie town called 'Nimbin'. The bus stops off at a waterfall on the way which is ok. Another fantastic day at Byron bay. After breakfast me, Sammie, Tom, Nele & Stefan who has recently arrived in our room. He is from Vancouver. So lots of ice hockey talk with him. Anyways the 5 of us go to the beach. It's so nice and hot. Us 3 boys play with the football on the beach and in the sea for a good hour or so. The sea is so warm and refreshing. I had probably the best sleep I've had since I've been in Australia. It's 7:45. The clocks went forward for us 1 hour, the Swedish girls woke me up briefly when they came back in but I got about 6 hours sleep which is good. We have to hire crockery out here for $20. This morning I wake really early again. About 6:30. Me and Hannah (Australian girl) go into town for breakfast. I decide to be really healthy and get a Fruit Salad for brekkie.
