Hi Everyone

Well not long to go before I leave to start my tour and before I return back to the UK. I am trying to make the most of the time I have left in Australia but I am finding it hard to enjoy myself at the moment. I know it is because I am working at the moment and have settled in to a regular boring life, as soon as my friend Kate comes out to join me I know I will get back in the traveling spirit and enjoy myself on the tour. Only two weeks to go before she comes out. I just keep thinking about seeing everyone back home and all the hugs and kisses I am going to get and it just makes me teary eyed. I especially can’t wait to see my little nephew Lloyd who isn’t so little anymore and is running around and talking loads now!!!

I have had a great time the last two weekends. Last weekend the 25th February I went out with Shellie and her sister Cassandra. Well what a great time we all had. In the morning I went to my uncle and aunts house to see my cousin Stuart who actually lives in China and I have never met. He was over for a visit to show his wife Ayley (I think that is how you spell it, it is pronounced Hayley but with an A at the beginning) what Australia was like as she has never seen it. It was so nice to meet them both and now I have met everyone!!! After we all had a delicious breakie me and Shellie headed off to Geelong about a two hour drive away from where I am staying. Geelong is where Shellie used to live and her parents and siblings still do. So this is why she supports Geelong football team (Ozzy Rules). So we got there and it was so funny as both Shellie and me where quite dressed up as if we were going to a wedding or something, this was because we were going to a cocktail party before the game started. I just felt so over dressed walking through the grounds to where we needed to be, seeing everyone else dressed in really casual clothes!!! But when we got to the cocktail party everyone else looked similar so I was very relieved!!!

Well it was free drinks YEAY!!! And we all had a few glasses of Champaign before the game started. So the game started and I did not have a clue what was going on, and I still don’t understand Ozzy Rules!!! I just can’t get to grips with being able to catch and throw the footy as well as kicking it, I don’t think I will ever be an Ozzy Rules fan!!! But it was good to see all the sexy men running around in their little shorts ha ha!! And even better that I got to meet them all after the match. As you can see from the pics I got to meet quite a few of them, but I couldn’t tell you who was who apart from MY hunky Steven King……what a gorgeous guy and I managed to get a kiss off him…only on the cheek but it was better than nothing. After we had met all the players we went out for a meal and some more drinks, the food was beautiful and soaked up some of the alcohol hee hee. After we had eaten we then went out to a night club and by this time my feet were killing me…so I had to take my shoes off and walk down the road bare foot which hurt just as much as with shoes on!!! So we ended up getting a taxi to the club and when we got there it was dead there was about 7 people in there and so we started drinking again and then it suddenly got packed!!! So we went and had a dance and we must have been dancing for at least 4 hours as we didn’t get in until 4am!!! But what a night I bloody loved every minute of it and really needed a girls night out……..I miss going out with all my girlies back home but not long to go and I am sure I will be having quite a few when I get back to catch up with everyone!!!!

So it took me a few days to get over the big day and night out….thank goodness I didn’t have work the next day, but Shellie did and she had to phone in sick ha ha ha!!! But it was well worth it.

On Saturday just gone, while I was working I got a text message from my Cousin Rachel who asked me if I wanted to go and watch a band with her that night after work, so I said yes definitely, I didn’t care how tired I was I needed to go and watch one live band while I’m in Australia!! Oh they were brilliant…I have to say it was bloody load and it was only a small venue so we were all crammed in, but oh my god it was brilliant!!!!!

So that’s about it really I haven’t been up to anything else just settled in to a normal life of work and going out on my days off!! But I miss England so much more than I ever thought I would and I just can’t wait to get back!!! Just waiting for Kate to get out here so I can enjoy myself and have someone to experience things with.

Monday 26th March – Travel to Surfers Paradise, Staying at Sovereign Hotel.

Tuesday 27th March – Staying in Surfers Paradise at the same hotel.

Wednesday 28th March – Travel to Adora Downs Farm Stay, stay for one night.

Thursday 29th March – Travel to Fraser Island, Staying at the Kingfisher Bay Resort

Friday 30th March – Stay in Fraser Island at the same resort.

Saturday 31st March – Travel to Capricorn Coast, Staying at the Rockhampton Plaza Hotel.

Sunday 1st April – Capricorn Coast to the Whitsundays Staying at Long Island Resort.

Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd April – Staying in the Whitsundays at the Long Island Resort.

Wednesday 4th April – Travel to Cairns Staying at Cairns Colonial Club Resort.

Thursday 5th & Friday 6th – Staying in Cairns at the same resort.

Saturday 7th April – Travel to Alice Springs (flying) staying at All Seasons Oasis Hotel.

Sunday 8th April – Stay in Alice Springs at the same hotel.

Monday 9th April – Travel to Uluru, Staying at Ayres Rock Outback Pioneer hotel & Lodge

Tuesday 10th April – Stay in Uluru at the same hotel.

Wednesday 11th April – Travel to Kings Creek Station, Staying at Kings creek station.

Thursday 12th April – Travel back to Alice Springs, staying in the All seaons Oasis Hotel

Friday 13th April – Travel to Tennant Creek, staying at Eldorado motor inn

Saturday 14th April – Travel to Katherine staying at Mercure Inn Katherine

Sunday 15th April – Travel to Kakadu staying at Kakadu Lodge

Monday 16th April – Stay at Kakadu in the same Lodge

Tuesday 17th April – Travel to Darwin staying at Quality Frontier Darwin

Wednesday 18th April – Tour finishes in the evening.

Thursday 19th April – Catch a 2.30am flight back to Melbourne

Tuesday 24th April – Kate catches a flight back to the UK

Thursday 3rd May – I catch a flight back to the UK arriving back on Friday 4th May
