We were a bit worried when we took our first wander out in Perth, there seemed to be more down and outs and dodgy characters and not much going on. We eventually found some restaurants and nightlife and settled into a nice italian restaurant right next to 'Shelias Strip Joint' There seems to be a few around Perth!

The following day we woke up to beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine. We took a leisurely walk around the swan river, and eventually found breakfast. We have never seen so much scambled egg! Must have been some big chooks!

We planned to go to Kings park for the afternoon. James managed to get us onto a bus to the park, but unfortunately it dropped us off 400ft below the park, with a shear cliff to contend with. We ended up walking about 3 miles round and up a very steep hill to get to the park. We later found there was a free bus to the park!

Kings Park & botanical gardens were fantastic we walked along the lotterywest walkway through thr rian forest. We saw the memorial garden for the Australians that lost their lives in the Bali Bombings.

Then caught the free bus back to the hotel.....
