Well guys
I've had an amazing two months in Adelaide. I love this place. It's just been great all round, had so many laughs, good times and met friends for life. Yeah Nat and Sim that's you, he he! You can't get rid of me that easy, damm!
My job at the Hostel was ideal. Such a cool job. One of the best hostels, I have ever been in and I'm not just saying that because I worked there. Was so clean, the owners are fantastic easy going people who really respecrt their staff and will do anything to make sure that you are happy. They know that we work long hours which we do. At times the job was a lot, long hours, hardly anytime off, split shifts. But I so loved it, loved dealing with the customers, you met so many people, also liked scooting about town in the mini bus collecting people from here there and everywhere. You had a lot of responsibilty at times which was nice. Jo and I slept in the store cupboard. Really nice to get away from dorms for a couple of months and have your own space. Is weird what things you take for granted and what yopu appreciate.
Also celebrated my birthday at Backpack Oz, one I will always remember. Such a good night. The hostel put on nibbles and drinks for us and they bought me a gorgeous chocolate fudge cake. This was a nice suprise. A crowd of us then went to a karaoke room I had hired. Very popular over here with the asians. Had a WKD night. From the moment we got in that room, everyone was singing. No one held back, such a great atmosphere. My hit of the night was 500 miles with Shona from scotland. Lisa you would have loved it. We all then went to a club that had a 90's night on. To be honest all very hazy from there. Not my fault, I can assure, people kept buying me drinks, rude not to drink them, I say! Just remember chatting up lots of firemen, dancing with lots of random people, being one of the first to go home because I could take no more, losing a shoe and having a cheesesburger with no cheese on it. I claimed. Yeah right, joanne! A brilliant night. The next morning I felt worse for wear especially as I had to work. GGRR! My shoe later turned up in my friends car, had been a mystery until then. He he, that was a first!
Some good times! After two months though time to move on. A little sad. It's hard doing goodbyes too, Adelaide however is definetley a place I will visit again. I loved it. Meeting Mum and Dad in Cairns. Cant wait! Really looking forward to seeing them. They are coming for a few weeks and we are travelling down the east coast.
Hope everyone is well. Miss everyone lots. Seems like a lifetime I have been away.Sometimes though its strange time passes so quick. I'm sure it will feel like no time before I am packing my bags to get on the flight home.
Love Me
