We only had a short stay in Brisbane and our first day there we went into the centre of the town and visited the Museum of Brisbane which was located in the City Hall building and we were also able to go up into the clock tower which gave us a nice view of downtown Brisbane. It rained the whole day though which wasn't fun, but we stuck to all the indoor activities, and we also went shopping and then to the cinema in the evening which was nice- we went to scare ourselves with the new film Zodiac, but it wasn't as scary as we thought.
The next day the weather was nicer so we walked along the riverside and went to the man made beach in Brisbane, but couldn't swim as it wasn't that warm. Then we carried on walking and crossed over the bridge to the other side where we walked amongst some mangrives (not very common to cities we know, but was a nice walk). We then finished off in the city centre with a nice lunch before having to catch our bus upto Noosa. We are definately accumilating more things, as we seem to be piled up high everytime we have to go and catch our bus somewhere- it is always very amusing. Brisbane is a nice city with lots of nice shops and cafe's, but you really don't need very long there to see all its main attractions. Lots of people visit the Steve Irwin Australia Zoo from Brisbane but we did that from Noosa.
