Day two of the Tuscany adventure, big night before all the group have a well deserved sleep in , this tranquil place has allowed us to fall back and regroup. Most are awake by the 8.00 to 8.30 time frame but still a bit sluggish, by 10.00, everyone is ready to set off  in different directions. One of our friend went bike riding about 8.00 and was missing for 3hrs, he had taken the wrong turn and wound up a winery a long way from the villa,around about 11,here he is, being driven back by the man who owned the winery, as you can imagine we were very concerned by this time as no one knew where he was , he was going to get milk which was a 10 minute ride.

After some lunch most of the group decided to have a look at Certaldo, which has two parts to its village, the old and the new. Shirley, Di, Chrissy , Karen and  Balty went to the old part which just happen to have a food and wine festival, we had a great time all of us, trying food, sipping wine and drinking cappuccino.

We order 4 cappuccino, a young waiter brought them to us, they looked fine, we were about to take them from him when the owner, a lovely older woman came and asked if we ordered cappuccino, see we all said , she raced back into the caffe and returned with a series chocolate sauces, food colorings and small marshmallows to decorate each one of the cappuccino, each was a work of art, thank goodness Di had her cameras.

We had brought a lot of genuine Italian meat and cheeses and there were arrancinni  balls included so tonight we are having an Italian degustation served with local prosecco, bianco  and Rossi wines. I'm sure this will be our best meal so far, really looking forward to this one.
