So we've had a few interesting days at the Bali senia hotel. Got drunk a couple of times, met another aussie who looks like a pug dog. He reckons he was gonna top himself in Oz as his missus left him, had his dog put down and generally messed up his life. That was until he came to Bali to mull stuff over. He says as soon as he saw the girls here he was sorted! " went back to Oz with a spring in me step mate!" it seems these cheap hookers are actually good for something. Bet the Samaritans don't use that technique.
The weather has slowed us down a bit on the adventuring front. Spent slot of time playing scrabble over the web with Frank and Jodie. Think I might be on the verge of being the first person to actually beat frank. Highlight of my week, but not very exotic!
We have failed in seeing the famous Sanur sun rise partially due to the weather and also my laziness. We tried to catch a nice sunset but that got rained off too. It's been relaxing here but we're both ready for Darwin now. Our plane is at 11.30pm tonight, about 4.30pm real England time, so got the day to catch what little sun there is as I think Darwin is still a bit stormy.
Got hostels booked for the first week and have signed up to a jobs website. Looks like pearl farming is a good option, I'd be spending 2 weeks on a boat without Katie though. Might give the old ear drums a rest like...every cloud and all that.
