After being in Venice for 12 hours it was time to head back to the hotel, have a shower and get ready to check out in the morning. I can't believe 2 of the days are gone already =[
I couldn't have picked a more perfect journey home though. I chose to take a water bus from Rialto to the bus station. Only €6,50 for a perfect 10 minute journey along the grand canal, passing gently lit buildings ranging from peoples houses to grand cathedrals. I could see the stars where the sky had cleared, and I watched Orion, my favourite constellation, as we drifted along. I have to do that again tomorrow with my camera, I only got a couple of good pictures on my phone.
I realised I missed out that I went to the museum of music today. I saw some really interesting instruments, most of them were violins or variations of them. I got a couple of cool pictures but I was not meant to take any, there were signs saying no photos but everyone was doing it.
The weather looks better for tomorrow, so I will fill my camera up tomorrow.
I have a few places that I went today to revisit for photos, then I have some of Venice that I haven't discovered yet. I also want to visit the Museo Correr, a really big museum of Venetian history and art in San Marco. I think I'll go back to the restaurant from today for dinner tomorrow and then anything else I can squeeze into my day before heading to the airport.
