Challenge 1 - find my hotel without a plan and without spending too much money - complete!
I've surprised myself, I jumped on a coach from Venice Treviso airport, 40 minutes from Venice and 30 minutes from my hotel in Mestre. Only €7 compared to €45 for a taxi =]
I was in even more luck because I found out my hotel was in walking distance of where the coach dropped me off. So off I went in to a random residential area, I must of stuck out like a sore thumb with my backpack, I am a typical tourist lol.
My room is small but nice, the hotel is lovely and family run. Everyone is so friendly. I'm only gonna be in here to sleep anyway so it doesn't matter much.
I'm now about to embark on my next challenge, find Venice and make it my home for 2 days!
