So I'm going to make more of an effort to write these blogs. I didn't know if anyone was reading them and then Mom told me that Dad has been disappointed that I'm not writing them more frequently. So from now on I will write as often as possible because there is always something to write about.
Thursday night as well as last night were spent at a place called The Rocket. It's a bar that has some room for a dance floor and people crowd over there and make use of it.
On Thursday night I was supposed to go out to Piccadilly Circus to club called On Anon but it got too late and I was alone and so instead I bought some ice cream. I was eating in the elevator on my way down to hang out with some friends when a group of people that I know were like "hey, we're going to The Rocket, you wanna come? Come with us!" So of course I said "as long as I can bring my ice cream".
We walked...it took about 15 minutes and there was a large group of us so it was safe. When we got there we walked from the freezing cold into the hottest heat. Someone told me that the reason they don't open the doors for ventilation is so that people buy more drinks to cool themselves off. I don't know if that's true or not, but that's what I heard. Anyway, I didn't buy any drinks because I just didn't feel like drinking. However, I did show off some mad moves on the dance floor (I look like a little kid with no rhythm). At the end of the night, the group of people that I went out with invited me up to their floor for a slumber party...they were all going to sleep in the kitchen (nice thought, but I need a bed). So I thanked them and went to bed.
Yesterday I had my first assignment due. Here, you don't turn your work into your tutor...you turn it into the university and they give you a receipt...someone grades it...and then your tutor hands it back to you in class. I managed to get this done all by myself. I probably sounds funny...but a lot of American students can't seem to get this done. Anyway, it was a good paper so I'm proud of me and I just thought I should brag.
Last night I saw The Heartbreak Kid. It was okay...I didn't like the ending. But I do like going to the movies here...their expensive but it's nice to relax in the theater. Afterward I changed and headed back to The Rocket with a different group of people. This time I had a few beers and I didn't dance. Afterward we went for pizza and chips (french fries)...it was so delicious. DRUNK FOOD! I love it.
I made it back safely and woke up this morning hang-over free! Today I think I'm going shopping with my friend Katrina (I'm not buying anything). And maybe, if I'm lucky, I'm going to be taken out for Mexican food. Someone promised it to me last night but we'll see how true those words are later. I'll let you know.
