So today was our last day in Europe. We enjoyed a sleep in in the last bed we'll see for over 30hrs before finding a patisserie for some breakfast. Enjoying a croissant while looking at the Eiffel Tower from the Jardin de Trocadéro we planned our trip to Versailles. We found our way to the RER line and onto a train. It's been a while since having to navigate trains. Arriving at Versailles to the amazing sight of the Palace. Dropping our heavy bags at the entrance desk we began to explore the Palace. It's amazing how intricate and delicate the interiors are and so pristinely preserved.
From there it was back to Notre Dame to find some arvo tea and then catch the train to the airport. It startede to really rain just as we were heading to the train so we were glad to be leaving in a way.
At the airport and reminiscing about our trip and all the adventures we've had. Looking forward to being home yet sad to say goodbye.
6 weeks. 11 countries. 20 hotels. Planes, trains, buses, cars, boats and feet. 5 days of clothes. One pair of shoes. 9 laundromats and one backpack each. Well travelled.
Auvoir. Arrivederci. Zàijiàn. Do Widzenia. Auf Wiedersehen. Tot Ziens. Beannachd leat. Goodbye
