Hey everyone!!

I have given up trying to update in between times when I have written anything for ages- so here goes! The last week and a bit have been a bit hectic!! Last week Susan from work back at home was over for the week so I met up with her and her travelling friend Michelle quite a bit. In between racing three times in a week doing a couple of courses for the Aussie open job i have got and my camp australia christmas do i have been pretty busy! I started off last week with the first of two courses i had to attend for working at the aussie open- pretty dull but i got paid for it more importantly! I then on the Tuesday met up with susan for lunch- from here i went straight to work and competiting.....

We had a twilight meet at Aberfeilde as an AV Shield meet- i think they are trying to squeeze as many races as they can into one week lol! But the night was a big big success! I only competed in the 400m hurdles as the rest of the night got called off due to weather- yet I equalled my p.b. in what is probably my best run out here yet, so was very happy! Wednesday I then had my 2nd course i had to attend for the Aussie open again very boring but paid for haha! I then met up with Susan and michelle and there friend Paul who also lives in Melbourne- all the way from Redhill, Surrey and yet married an aussie and now has been living out here for 4 years! Was meant to be a no drinking night yet turned into an early merry occassion!!

Thursday the big day... ZATOPEK meet!! This was a big athletics meet held at Olympic Park in Melbourne named after a 10000m runner and is an invite race at Olympic park. I ended up in participating in the medely relay where i ran the 400m leg for the North West region. The weirdest relay i have ever done before- 200m, 200m, 400m and an 800m runner lol! We came a very close 2nd but was such a good experience- then to watch some of the Worlds best come to compete was also very cool!

As for Friday we had our xmas do with the camp australia lot- where Holly came too! Not all the boys decided to attend but there were still 5 of us that attened! Was a very drunken night due to the free bar.... but was all good fun! As for Saturday was meant to be competing again yet had a very strong feeling it wouldnt be as the Aussies cant handle a bit of rain..... so Saturday ended up being a very, very lazy day!! As for saturday night, it was Susan's last proper night out in Melbourne so we headed down to the crown with a few huge dacquri's later and few sing alongs to the music channel in the velvet bar we headed home!

I then managed to over sleep through my alarm... obviously needed the sleep and managed to miss training!! oops! Yet i made up for it, and did my session from home lol! as for the rest of sunday us three girlies spent a very chilled out sunny sunday afternoon together checking out the hot chocolates of federation square...
