Hey everyone!
Yet again I have left it so late to write one of these blogs my apologies! I have yet again been up to so much! As of last couple of weeks i have just been getting into the swing of things with work and daily life out here down under! I am working for camp australia and Kelly sports at this present moment doing lots of coaching work which is great fun! The kids are great and they just love the English accent! We had our first all day atheltics competition with the kids from the Caulfied school (a big expensive private school) last wednesday and the kids were just great! They really enjoyed them selves and did quite well overall!!
We now have another girl out with us down under she has been here just over a week now. She is another buddying athelte- but a middle distance runner. She has fitted in just fine and me and Holly are just glad to have another girl join us!
We had a big night out last Thursday (well the majority of us!!) where we headed to Billboards again (this time all the boys got in with thanks to Holly!). As it was Becca's first night out in Melbourne she got to see the boys in their true habitat consumed by alcohol! haha! We had a really great night and it all ended with memory lapses and flash backs the next day! While some of us had to work the friday (i.e. me) the others got over their "hangovers" and got cooked in the park!!
As for Saturday i had my first league match with Athletics Essendon- truely an experience. I tell you what it is nothing like our Southern league meets, completely confusing way of organising things! But despite that and the 30 degrees of heat i managed to run an awesome day at the track to finish off with a massive win in the 4x400m relay! Was such a good day and looking forward to the next!
While some of us (i.e. Holly) had a little too much drink saturday night and provided the nights entertainment (again Holly) the rest of us (Becca and myself) had training sunday morning! But saturday deffinately provided a few good laughs! We then went to Melbourne zoo yesterday even with half the boys hung over from their antics the night before! It was great to see all the animals up close and in the flesh- never seen anything like it! Or anything as ugly as the Wombat! To finish the week off we went to (as reccomend by Matt) a chinese where their speciality is dumplings. Thank god i didnt try them as most of the boys did not like them and the service was not great (especially when it came ot ordering a glass- we were given plastic mugs!) Haha!!
Well yet again another long blog... my apologies! I hope every one is well. Caz well done in your laser quest victory im sure Joey was just as good! As for my lovely sistes love you both!!
Take care all!
