New Zealand!! After our very enjoyable snorkell/dive trip to the Great Barrier reef in Oz we headed back to to Brisbane for a night before flying out to Auckland... we also spent a day at Australia zoo here.The Great Barrier reef was special as it is madeout to be... I have never seen so many variety of fish in one place... you are able to get right up close to the coral and fish and are given six different opportunities to get into the water at various location...

So we have made it to Cairns! Our Whitsundays sailing trip was so much fun... the weather was still a bit on and off but we were with a really good group of people. After leaving Byron Bay we stopped over in Surfers Paradise for two nights.... there was not a lot to do there during the day, just a good night out... we left Surfers early morning in the pouring rain to catch our greyhound to Mooloolaba. Byron Bayyy.... We have been here for a couple of days and can only compare it to our experiences of Thailand... once again we find ourself lying on the beaches by day and visiting the bars and backpacker clubs by night! It's a very sociable place, full of people backpacking up the coast... everything is smaller here and theres a real sense of community... Theres also a massive surfing vibe here... We cant even swim in the sea without getting battered by the w...

So we're in oz! W ehave been here for 2 weeks now and have worked our way up from Melbourne... staying there for 5 days and stopping in Canberra for a night.
