Hannah and T are out on the beach but I don't seem to get any tanner after Peru so I'm taking this oppertunity to update y'all.
These past days with Hannah Montana in Costa Rica have been nothing but absolutely fantastic! We decided after a lot of going back and forth that we would travel on the west coast, starting in Manuel Antonio, 30min from Qepos. But first we stayed in San Jose, the capital, for one night, waiting for the sexbomb. For the first time we decided to book a hostel in advance, only to realize that when we got there it was shut down. That was our meeting point with H and I thought I was going to start crying when she didn't pick up her phone. (Hern flight was delayed). But then everything turned out fine, as they always do.
Seeing H again was so good! It's nice to have someone else to talk to and to tell about everything that has happened, in detail. After a while of discussing and analyzing the same experiences over and over again with the same person, you need to experience something new, otherwise you run out of things to say and start talking about poop and boobs.
Anyways, Manuel Antonio was a tiny little town where they did nothing but drink and smoke and look at all the bonita chicas. Like we were surprised. But as H is on holiday and is desperately in need of a nice tan, that is what we did. And went out. After just a couple of days we got bored and moved on to the next, a little bit bigger, town called Montezuma. Here they had a couple of beaches, lots of lots of restaurants (it's not a very big place so it was crammed with them), and even a waterfall! We got there there pretty late at night and T and I walked around for an hour trying to find some place to stay only to realize they were all full or expensive, except for one which was situated a little outside the centre, whole 200 metres up the hill. We got to know some locals the first night and was invited to an afterparty including toasts with peanut butter and mozzarella+ rum and coke. Stayed there for 3 days before we were off to Santa Teresa, heaven on earth for surfers. We are definitely going to come back here after we're taken those surfing lessons in Australia. It's simply a surfer's paradise and obviously more fun if you surf, but we've met some cool people (meaning lots of lots of lots of American and Canadians).
Monday we went to reggae night, which we realized would have been way more fun if we had smoked like eveyone else (don't worry, we behaved) and for us it mainly worked as after party music so we got tired and went to bed. Last night we went to Latino night at the same place, which was a way bigger success than reggae night. Considering they didn't play much latino music but music we actually enjoy listening to. I wouldn't know really, I was in deep deep conversation with a couple of Americans and didn't realize people left us as I was babbling too much. Oh how wonders beer pong can do to you.
Ciao for now, next stop: LA!
