I'm in LA tric!
LA might have been the coolest place ever. We highly recommend it (not on a backpacking trip though as your budget will go right down the drain after just one trip to Beverly Center) but 4 days is way too little. We were told that public transport was almost impossible so we were a bit worried in the beginning as we were not old enough to rent a car. But after just one day we had managed to cruise through Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Rodeo Drive AND Beverly Center. So then we were like ok, so what do we do next? The next day was spent on Melrose Av (where Kaja got the most expensive haircut EVER) and Grove, which is a small place with shops, a movie theatre and the Farmer's Market. It was also the place where Abercrombie&Fitch is situated and of course we had to take a photo with the half-nake chocolate man in the doorway. Mm! At night we first had dinner at Food Market. then went to see a movie. Monday we went on the Beverly Hills walking tour (the only walking tour in town) and we saw the houses of Michael Jackson, Snoop Doggy Dog (got to see his rides as we were welcomed inside of the gates!), Walt Disney, Nicholas Cage, you name it. So that was pretty awesome! As Monday night was the last night with Hannah we decided to hit THE celebrity restaurant, the Ivy. Of course all the celebrities had decided to call it an early night and no one was spotted flashing their private parts coming out of an expensive Lambourghini. The next day we were 10 Norwegians who rented two cars, we were headed for Malibu! We spent the day at the beach and in between lazy hours Hannah and Kaja set out for a memorable road trip to Jack in the box. So The Hills but we were enjoying every minute of it!
Next stop: Fiji!
