A full glorious sunny day (Internation talk like a pirate day) spent lazing by the pool, watching McGyver, Zena and Judge Judy. Aargh this is thee life! Highlight today: Angus Steak pie for lunch.

Wandered the wharf area checking out the aqua waters of Darwin Harbour then took a drive along the esplanade to Fannie Bay (more great beaches and clean parklands). Enjoyed the most amazing, bowl of flavour infused Laksa soup at a fantastic Thai bar, while Mel chowed down on Pad See Ew which is a delicious salted egg noodle dish. In the evening we watched the gorgeous pink sunset over the Mindel Beach Markets while wandering the crazy, exotic food stalls. Huge...

Visited the Parap Markets on the outskirts of the CBD and was amazed at the quality of stalls and delicious smells. Cambodian lemongrass fish, Indian Laksa soups, crispy Nepalese Naan breads, French Nutella Crepes, Strong Quality Coffee beans, NT Bannanas, Fresh mud crabs and a gorgeous assortment of local, tropical flowers! Visited the Darwin CBD and the esplanade and looked through some shops. Very hot and humid at 36degrees. In the mall we ran into a lady with a baby saltwater crocodile (1year old) promoting the local Crocodylus park. It was very cute and it's belly felt squishy! We toured around visiting the Casuarina and Palmerston suburbs then returned to the air-conditioned van for the evening. Highlight today: touching a baby saltie!

Way too many drinks last night and we are all supremely hung over. Spent the entire day poolside (huge lagoon pool at the caravan park) eating stodge and reading. KFC for dinner and watched a movie, had to rigg up the air-conditioner and it works beautifully! Highlight today: the awesome pool
