After packing up camp we left Mataranka and headed towards Daly Waters. We stopped along the way at the Pink Panther Pub at Larrimer. The pub had a free zoo which we were surprised to discover had quite alot of animals! We saw bearded dragons, crocodiles, assorted snakes, lots of colorful parrots and even a chamelion! Swan in the lower pool at Edith falls, very pretty gorge and surrounded by palms and cliff face. Stopped at Katherine for supplies and cooked a BBQ, Cam was amazed at all the Aborigines and even started counting them! Visited 'Bitter Springs' at Mataranka which is a natural thermal spring. Rode noodles down the stream, very very clear water and around 25degrees. Had South African Boerewors, damper and pea salad for dinner. Highlight today: Boerewors from Wool...

Swam at Wangi Falls all morning, under the waterfall and doing bombs off the rocks. Packed up camp and headed South to Edith Falls in the Nitmiluk National Park, there are 3 tiers of waterfalls so we hiked 1.7km up to the upper level falls. Spent the afternoon swimming at the falls and doing more bombs off the rocks. Averted a possible disaster when I slipped off the rocks, bounced into more rocks, then face planted into the water almost taking out a bystander!...

Woke up by jumping in the pool and doing a quick round of exercise. Packed up the van and headed out to Leitchfeild. Stopped at the termite mounds for lunch then walked the boardwalk checking out the 6-8mtr high termite mounds (actually made from termite poo). Set up camp at Wongi Falls and spent the day swimming under the waterfall and doing bombs off the rocks. Absolutely stunning! Highlight today: swimming at Wongi Falls

Picked Cam up from the airport, he was immediately shocked by the overwhelming humidity. We went for a swim after lunch, then headed out to the Adelaide river to watch the Jumping Crocs. Met Brutus a 6mtr world famous crocodile. Very scary stuff, one Indian tourist leaned out the boat and patted him- scared the hell out of us! Went swimming and then took Cam to the Mindil Markets.
