Days 22-31

After the weekend break was over we went straight to the studio to start the final design stages for our chair. The pictures posted are what I thought my final design was going to be, the actual final design pictures will be posted soon. This was a very boring week to report on. 8:30am till our afternoon lectures (around 4) was the schedule. But reality was that you stayed in studio every night till around 10p. Then start all over the next day. We had to have our final drawings done and ready to work with Monday for shop.

The weather was misty and grey all week, as well as for the weekend. Nothing too exciting happened this weekend, just more studio hours clocked in to finish the designs.

Monday group 1 had to report to shop at 7a till 2:30p. I am in group 2, which is the 2:30p till 10p shift, we then switch shifts for next week. We got right to work as we showed up to shop and are progressing faster than we expected. I have been documenting my progress every evening, pictures to come! Besides applying for jobs for the fall semester, my time outside of the shop is mostly spent when we are done for the evening. Monday to went to Christiana, basically a hippy commune. Tuesday I went home since I was exhausted. Tonight we all went by the opera house on the water to enjoy the movie playing on the other side of the river.

I promise more exciting posts to come, after classes are done I can relax more and play tourist. But for now it is all about chairs!
