So I got myself to school by myself this morning! But of course, I forgot to bring my breakfast and lunch. Thank goodness for 7-Eleven! The ones here sell much better "American" food than the ones in the states! I also picked up some cherries from a farmer at the square. Who knew cherries don't have to be rock hard and very little flavor? Lectures lasted from 8:30-4:30, with an hour for lunch. Then I went home to type up my notes and do research on designers and go over the requirements for our paper. So nothing exciting to note today, except the excitement of finding hummus and greek yogurt finally. One thing to note, I stepped into a McDonald's and a "snack" was 40kk ($8) and a burger was 50kk ($10)!! Two things I learned today, this does include the taxes, unlike the states where it is added on at the register. Also, always remember to have a few kroners on you, toilets are not free in some places (nor is tap water)!
While I was concentrating being the good student I am, I heard these bells getting louder and louder, assuming it was an emergency truck. Nope, it is their ice cream truck, and a guy came running out for it. Obviously the large cowbell in the front of the truck (really, a cowbell) gets attention!
We have a field trip tomorrow, so more interesting things to discuss tomorrow.
