Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, this post is not one about my sightseeing or work, but about the recent attempted terrorist attacks in central London. I don't want to worry anyone, but only reassure you and explain what happened.

Last night at about 2am, a car full of petrol and nails was found near Piccadilly Circus (a couple blocks from where I took this picture). It was a failed attempt at bombing one of the largest night clubs in London. It did not explode and no one was hurt, but you could feel the after effects today when traveling around the city. Police were everywhere and travel delayed in many areas.

The place where this happened is not close to where I live or work, but is someplace where I have visited often. It is a chilling feeling to know that I've walked by that spot numerous times and that three of my roommates have gone to the nightclub.

Thankfully everyone is OK, and we will go on with life as normal. But it was a definite shock to all of us.
