We rented a surfboard for Margo and I to ride at the local surf shop, Frijoles Locos. We took it down to our beach. Before we headed down, Freda told us that she had spotted some howlers in a try across from the house. We were able to see about 7 of them, including one baby and, Eva spotted a special treat, a little possum sleeping right there in the tree tunk! When we got down to the beach, right away Margo and David went out in the water. Margo did awesome! Her first time surfing and she stood up twice! Then, because of the wind, we headed around the bend past the rock to the beach. The wind was so bad that it was a long, bad walk. Eva and I were so sandblasted, that it was pretty miserable. Eva was upset and tired, so she laid down and took a nap, right on the beach, covered by towels. David and I took that opportunity to take me out surfing. I got a couple of waves, stood up for a few seconds each time, but then, a wave slapped me hard on the face, whipping my neck and then, the next wave I tried to go for, I fell off the board and then popped up just to get the board right in my face, hit on the nose and lip. So, I came in. Then, Margo decided to go out swimming and just as she did, she got a jellyfish sting on the leg, so she and David both came in. So strange, but out of nowhere, baseball sized jellyfish just started walking up. Margo found relief in the tried and true way to heal a jellyfish sting, pee on it. Needless to say, we decided to call it a day at the beach and we went home.

After some quiet time, Margo and I decided to take the car and venture out to see all of Playa Grande and hit the supermercado. We drove to the other side of Playa Grande, to Palm Beach estates. Here it is "gated" and the houses are big, but it is remote and not much there. Then we headed back to our end of PG and stopped for a drink and some chips and salsa at Marbar, a bar/restaurant/surf hotel. After that we headed to the market and got some supplies and then headed home where we made dinner and had a relaxing rest of the evening.
