Doug's Family Holidays
On Saturday afternoon we visited Broadway Tower. The views from the tower were amazing; apparently you can see 11 counties from the top.
There was also the option of visiting a nearby nuclear bunker as well. The bunker location was originally used as an aircraft observation point during the war. It became one of about 1500 nuclear bunkers which would be used to measure and monitor the effects of a nuclear bomb being dropped. The tour was quite interesting, although the guide took his subject matter very seriously and was rather earnest!
Ross was very taken with the red deer which were in the field adjoining the tower grounds.
The photo album contains pictures of the bunker and red deer.
