The most exciting thing I have done since I last wrote was go shark diving. It was crazy! Of course we were in a cage, but it definitely was a once in a lifetime experience. I went with Kate because we both got the day off (my boss said it was just because of my birthday). We had to be ready for the bus at 6:20 but we ended up meeting with other people (25 in total) who were all tourists from Europe and then getting on the boat around 10:30. We had orientation and breakfast in the clubhouse. We were the first ones to get in the wetsuits and in the water but we ended up waiting about 15 minutes before we saw anything. While we were putting our wetsuits on there was one shark that came over to grab the bate (tuna heads) and was thrashing so much that his tail splashed water all over the boat. The visibility in the water was pretty poor so we could only see sharks that got like 6 inch from the cage. One came up and looked right at us! There were five people in the cage at one time and we had to wear weights to hold us down low enough to see the sharks. I got really sunburnt again and met some people from random countries..so it was cool.

Yesterday my coworkers got me a huge pink and white cake in the shape of a 2 and 1 with a key on top. 21 is a big coming of age year in South Africa and a key is very symbolic I guess. We drank champagne at work and had fun. I didnt do much else because I wasnt feeling very good so I just watched a movie with a few friends. Boring, I know. Tomorrow we are having an American bbq at my friends house because they have a nice deck outside. I wanted an American bbq because there are so many freakin braai's here and no South Africans or Europeans have been to a bbq.

Today at work was extremely annoying because I spent literally all day working on design and concept for a project and then my boss came in and said he had a completely new idea that he wanted me to do instead. Without even saying thanks for all the work I did in vain. Bah. I wanted to shake him but I am not ready to go home yet so I restrained myself. I guess he is just an insanely busy person so he doesnt have much time to really put effort into thanking and acknowledging everything for everyone. I can understand that. Anyways, I am off in a few minutes and I am going to the gym! Kate and I got gym memberhips and we try to go to the spinning classes as much as possible but we really only go about twice a week. She is at a private game park until thursday so I have to go by myself..I have to ride the mini busses alone which is pretty intense. They always rip us off by 50 cents but I never say anything because I'm sure 50 cents to them is a lot more than it is to me. I'll write back soon!
