Tues 28th June 2011 9am its time to depart Ardrossan and head further down the coast on the Yorke Peninsular. Have really enjoyed our 3wks here having a good look around the area, relaxing and mixing it with the locals.
Called into a small spot called Black Point which is holiday home spot for mostly all the rich farmers in the region who have built all these huge homes just for weekenders and holidays. Farming in the York Peninsular is very healthy indeed.
Then its off down to a nice small holiday destination Port Vincent very pretty spot and very popular with families and fishermen as they have just installed a great new boat marina, parked up at a nice spot near the beach, had lunch then went for a nice long walk around town and up along the cliff face which has great views all over the bay and marina .Bit much for poor Jess tho as the poor thing limped on her paws for the nxt few days :-(
After a good look around Port Vicent we now head off to a very small spot Wool Bay to stay for the night, found a great spot to stay overnight overlooking the jetty, and water nxt to a very old Lime Kiln that was built and used to process all the lime in the region before being shipped off from the jetty, today the area is mainly farming witrh huge silo,s for shipping the crops out
Very windy blustery night tho getting up in the morning to see an amazing sunrise so made all the wind and blowing worth it. Breakfast and then its off for another great coastal walk before heading off down to set up @ Edithburg where we will stay for the nxt cpl weeks
Enjoy the pics and till the nxt instalment cheers from us
