After a rather late night, Vanessa cooks us all an English breakfast. We say our goodbyes, after a brief but very enjoyable visit. We go back to Downtown to check it out in day light. Today we headed to the White Sands. I have never been in the presence of anything like it before. Miles of pure White sand, an undulated landscape with huge mountains either side. It's boiling hot with no shade. Paul and I get out the plastic pans and slide down the sand. Paul trying a head slide at one point! We had an early start today. Leaving Las Cruces about 9am. Driving over the impressive organ mountains that stand between Las Cruces and the White Sands. It's day one of Paul Cam.
