We leave Aunt Barbara's early. Say our goodbyes and head over to Michael's for a morning tea before hitting the road for Sante Fe to see my cousin Scott & Vanessa.

On the way we get slightly lost and head through a town called Carizozzo. There are painting donkey statues everywhere. After fixing the sat nav we get on the right track. The route bypasses some picturesque mountains with cool cloud formations.

As we drive along, I'm just editing my pictures when Barbara says 'Oh my god did you see that deer!?' So we turn back pull up next to it and it's a big dead deer with decent sized antlers. It's only been dead a few hours it was still bleeding out! Possibly shot and got away, then died. Anyway we got some pictures, one with me holding his antlers!

We arrive at Scott & Vanessa's about 4.30pm. Vanessa pulls up, head out the window shouting like an excitable crazy woman!

When Scott gets back from work we go out to eat at a smart Spanish restuarant. We meet Ilyssa & Serena my second cousins and their mum Maria. Paul celebrates his second early birthday this time with Mariachi's singing happy birthday!

After the meal, Scott takes for a tour through downtown. Passed the adobe buildings and art galleries. Definitely want to get some pictures here tomorrow!

We return to the house and have a visit from Roslin the wife of Macdonard, a Kenyan runner Scott manages. Along with her mum and son Peter.

I'm also taught the rules of baseball as we watch Cleveland Indians marathon match, which they finally win with a free walk!
