Went from Koa Samui to Kao Tao by ferry. From the sea, you can see that the island is tiny, and you could walk around it in about half a day. We stayed in a small guesthouse just off the main strip of bars and clubs along Sairee beach. The island here is sooo small that only one bar is allowed to open each night of the week, otherwise they would all be empty! Halarious as there are all these cool bars, but only one is open?!?! Upon arriving in Surat Thani, we went into the Kao Sok national park. Its a big nature reserve to the west of Surat Thani. Stayed in a bamboo house for a couple of nights here. On the first day, we went tubing down the local river. Just sat in a huge rubber ring and float downstream in the sun... very relaxing and chilled out. In the evening we had a nice meal at a local resteraunt nearby - it rained so hard. Were in the rainforest here so at night it buckets dow...

Woke up and left the hotel in Chiang Rai at about 10 - took a very sweaty 4 hour bus trip back to Chiang Mai. We had half a day here before we had to go back to Bangkok. In the evening we took the night train back. It had no air con - only a small fan on the ceiling. It was the most unconfortable 16 hours of my life. Didnt sleep a wink, and made me never want to go on a train ever again in my life!!! Once back in Bangkok, me and Arni (one of the Icelandic's) went...

In the morning we took some songtows (pick up trucks with benches in the back) to the Burmese border. Crossed over into Burma, and got about another 5 stamps to add to the passport! Went around the local markets and did a bit of shopping. Didnt really notice much difference between Burma nad Thailand, other than there's lots of kids wondering around trying to sell you viagra and porn. Litterally tons of them everywhere, and all selling exactly the same thing?!?! ...

The Thai boxing match was awesome - started off with little kids kicking each other until they passed out, and then moving slowly up through the weight catagories. Thai boxing is one of the most brutal sports i've seen! In 7 matches we saw, we wittnessed 4 knockouts! All of the knocked out stone cold - brilliant! Also saw a swedish thai boxer kick the living daylights out of a small thai guy who was a champion - kind of unfair as the swedish guy was about 4 times...
